If you’re wanting to take the kids to see the REAL Santa this Christmas, then First Choice still has availability on short breaks to the winter wonderland that is Finnish Lapland, from £538 per person with flights, accommodation and a gala dinner included.
We picked out a three night break leaving London Gatwick airport on the 20th December and staying at the three star Sokos Vaakuna Hotel in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. Staying inside the Arctic Circle you can expect lots of snow and it will be pretty cold, but you’ll be nice and wrapped up so no need to worry.
Once you arrive you’ll be met by Santa’s elves who will show you around your new winter wonderland village and we’re sure they’ll be time on the agenda to build a snowman.
The next day sees a visit to SantaPark, where you’ll be invited underground into Santa’ grotto, a hive of Christmassy activity and you can visit the Santa Post Office where all those letters arrive from children all over the world with their present wish lists.
As well as visiting Santa you’ll have time to meet the reindeers, say hello to the husky dogs and go on a snowmobile or husky safari.
