Staying in a charming, family-run, four star hotel in Villabassa, just north of Cortina d’Ampezzo, you’ll mix Michelin guide recommended Italian cuisine, with a warm welcome and some excellent guided days out on the paths in snow shoes.

The trip is not for the faint-hearted as many of the snow shoe excursions will see you trekking up to peaks well over 2000m high, but when you take in the panoramic views, the effort is all the more worthwhile.
