Val Thorens is at the far end of the Les Trois Vallees (3 valleys) ski area. You'll find more continental Europeans here than in the rest of the resorts in the area.
The terrain is the steepest and most difficult in the 3 vallees. There are however, also some 'nice' slopes for beginners.
