SOUTH AFRICA - COK3
Day 1. Kruger National Park, Historical Village Leaving Johannesburg behind we enter the land of the rising sun, Mpumalanga and onwards to Kruger National Park, South Africas largest and premier National Park. We travel a little further north than most operators so you can, like the wildlife we are trying to spot, escape the crowds in the south. Once in the park we visit a historical village before spending the rest of the afternoon on a game drive. With cameras and binoculars in hand we excitedly explore as much as we can before the African sun starts to set.
Included in Tour Price: All tour highlights, transport, accommodation, sleeping mat, road tolls & taxes, meals as indicated, camping & cooking equipment, services of driver & tour leader (or one driver/ guide if group size is less than nine). Not Included: Visas, travel insurance, flights, departure taxes, airport transfers, sleeping bag (hire GBP10 for entire tour), optional activities (see tour dossier for details) and items of a personal nature. Mode of Transport: Minibus or microbus Standard of Accommodation: 2 nights camping with shared facilities.
Day 3. Kruger National Park, Johannesburg This morning we have our final change to game view before we make our way back to Johannesburg for the end of our safari.
Day 1. Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Animal Orphanage, Private Game Reserve, Oliphants River Leaving Johannesburg we enter the land of the rising sun, Mpumalanga. Here we travel a panoramic route, taking in many breathtaking sights including Blyde River Canyon, the third largest in the world and the Three Rondavels. From our high vista, the lowveld of the Greater Kruger region unfolds before us. After lunch we visit an animal orphanage before travelling through a private game reserve to camp on the banks of the Oliphants River. We experience our first glimpses of wildlife tonight as animals come to the river to drink - an exciting way to start our safari!
Day 4. Kruger National Park, Johannesburg We complete our Kruger experience with an early morning game drive before heading back to Johannesburg.

A classic African camping safari break through Kruger National Park - South Africas premier game reserve home to a huge diversity of wildlife including the famed Big 5 .
Day 2. Kruger National Park We start early when wildlife is most active and game drive north to explore the less visited regions near the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, an area under the control of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique governments. The Kruger is mostly flat savannah and bushveld with pockets of mopane forest. Several rivers flow though the park and game is plentiful. All of the Big 5 are found here as well as cheetah, wild dog, spotted and brown hyena and almost all of South Africas antelope species from common impala to rare sable and roan. Krugers birdlife is also immense, with ostrich, marabou storks and crowned cranes all vying for attention. Raptors such as martial, black and fish eagles are also regular sights. This evening you have the chance to take an optional night drive (subject to availability) to spot more animals including leopard, aardvark, aardwolf, genet and civet.

Discover the beauty of Mpumalangas canyons and peaks before descending into Kruger National Park for thrilling wildlife encounters, wild terrain and a truly African safari!
Day 2 3. Oliphants River Game Cruise, Kruger National Park, Historical Village We rise to the sounds of the bush and embark on a river game cruise spotting animals including hippos, elephants and if we are lucky, lion, on the banks. After a light breakfast we travel to the world renowned Kruger National Park. This is big game territory and hopefully we will see some of the Big 5 - elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. Kruger is home to over 505 species of birds, 148 species of mammals and many reptiles. Well take game drives in the mornings and late afternoons and also take time to visit a historical village. We travel to the less frequented northern parts of Kruger in an area near the Zimbabwe and Mozambique boarders, to get away from the crowds. Ironically this is probably what the wildlife we are pursuing is doing! Whilst in the park you also have the option of going on night game drives (subject to availability).
