Mozambique & Kruger
South Africa/Mozambique/Swaziland - 14 days
Day 1 5. Zululand, Mkuzi Game Reserve, Kosi Bay Nature Reserve From Johannesburg we drive to KwaZuluNatal, game drive in Mkuzi Game Reserve, searching for endangered black rhino and visit local Zulu villages. Kosi Bay Nature Reserve boasts sweeping beaches, fertile estuaries and mangrove forests and we explore the area by boat and on foot and snorkel in its clear waters. Day 6. Swaziland, Hlane Game Reserve In the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland we stay in the Hlane Game Reserve, owned by the King. The reserve is best explored on a game walk where we hope to spot elephant, rhino and plenty of birdlife. Day 7 11. Mozambique, Maputo, Inhambane, Praia de Barra Goodbye Swaziland, hello Mozambique! We stop in the vibrant capital, Maputo, to enjoy its unique Afro-Portuguese atmosphere, kick back beneath leaning palms, snorkel pristine reefs on the idyllic beaches of Praia de Barra and explore the old trading port of Inhambane. Day 12 14. Kruger National Park, Johannesburg Back in South Africa, it's big game safari time in Kruger National Park as we search the landscape for the Big 5'. Finally after driving through the scenic Mpumalanga region we return to Johannesburg.

Madagascar Dhow Sailing
Day 1 4. Nosy Be, Ankazoberevina, Russian Bay, Nosy Iranja Upon arrival in Nosy Be we are met by our captain and crew and transferred to our accommodation overlooking the ocean. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore your surroundings and perhaps enjoy a seafood dinner. The next morning we sail across to Russian Bay, stopping off for lunch on the island of Ankazoberevina. We may be fortunate to spot ring-tailed lemurs on this little island. Arriving at Russian Bay we set up our camp on a secluded beach and enjoy the quiet surroundings. We spend the following day sailing the waters of the Indian Ocean to Nosy Iranja (Island of Turtles) for two nights exploring this island paradise. Day 5 7. Mahalina, Nosy Tanikely, Lokobe Reserve, Hell-Ville We take a route between some of the area's islands, stopping to swim, snorkel and fish as we go. If lucky we may encounter turtles, pipefish, angelfish, grouper and parrotfish in the clear waters. At Nosy Tanikely we relax in a beautiful bay before camping beside Lokobe Reserve to enjoy its idyllic surroundings and wildlife. On day seven we return to Ankazoberevina and moor in Hell-Ville port where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

Mozambique/South Africa - 17 days
Day 1 3. Mpumalanga, Private Game Reserve, Kruger National Park After admiring the breathtaking scenery in Mpumalanga we enjoy exciting day game drives in Kruger National Park and a night drive and game walks in a private game reserve. Day 4 7. Mozambique - Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, Banhine, Zinave We cross into Mozambique and follow the Limpopo River through remote landscapes exploring the wild and untouched areas on the Mozambique side of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park including the Banhine and Zinave wilderness regions. Day 8 14. Vilanculos, Inhambane, Maputo, Elephant Reserve We spend two days in both Vilanculos and Inhambane enjoying a dhow trip, snorkeling, swimming and relaxing on the beach. Heading south we hit the capital, Maputo with its unique Afro-Portuguese atmosphere, before our last stop in Mozambique at Maputo's elephant reserve. Day 15 17. Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, Jo'burg Returning to South Africa we spend two nights on a private reserve adjoining Lake St Lucia. Here we enjoy game walks through the forest, experience an open vehicle game drive in Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve and visit a rural school that our trips help support. Our safari finishes in Johannesburg on day 17.

Madagascar Explorer
Madagascar - 9 days
Day 1 2. Antananarivo, Antsirabe, Manandona We have a free day to explore Antananarivo before traveling to Antsirabe the following day. Famed for its healing thermal springs, gemstone merchants and elegant French architecture we have time to explore the town, before heading to the village of Manandona for an of insight into the local culture. Day 3 4. Ambositra, Ranomafana National Park, Sahambavy Today we travel to Ranomafana National Park via the wood carving village of Ambosita. Ranomafana affords us the chance for our first glimpses of lemur on a guided night time trek and an early morning hike through dense rainforest. Afterwards we journey south to the plantations of Sahambavy to see how the leaves are processed into tea. Day 5 9. Ranohira, Isalo National Park, Ifaty, Antananarivo We visit the paper-making town of Ambalavao before crossing the wide plains to Isalo National Park, home to ring-tail lemurs, chameleons and a series of weather-worn sandstone formations. Next we inspect the intricate tombs of the Mahafaly tribe on the way to the idyllic beaches of Ifaty. There's time here to kick back on the white sands, snorkel or wander the surreal spiny forests nearby. We return to Tana', Madagascar's capital where our tours finishes.
