Ultimate Morocco Morocco - 21 days Day 1  8. Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Meknes, Fes We explore the traditions and landscapes of the north, travelling from the modern coastal cities of Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier to the sweeping Rif Mountains and beautiful blue town of Chefchaouen. Stepping back in time we stop at the old imperial cities of Meknes and Fes, offering opportunities to immerse in the real Morocco - vibrant markets and medina passageways pulsing with life. Day 9  13. Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Ait Benhaddou Across the High Atlas to the south we meet dramatic rocky valleys, high dunes and wide desert plains. We watch the sunset from the dunes and sleep in a Berber camp under the stars. Reaching the mountain gorges and palm-filled valleys of Todra and Dades, optional hikes, rock climbing and traditional cooking lessons can be enjoyed. Outside Ouazazate, film capital of Morocco we visit Ait Benhaddou, recently a setting for Gladiator. Day 14  21. Imlil, Taroudannt, Essaouira, Marrakesh We trek stunning mountain valleys and explore the Berber town of Taroudannt before reaching the coast. Relaxing in white walled Essaouira, you can enjoy street cafes, welcoming markets and seafood fresh from the Atlantic. Finishing in Marrakesh, we enjoy free time in this exciting medieval city. Marrakesh, Taroudannt, Mirleft We have a day at leisure to explore Marrakesh before travelling to the red-walled town of Taroudannt. Check out the towns markets before winding our way down to the seaside town of Mirleft to enjoy the ambience created by the resident artists and musicians. Day 5  8. Amtoudi, Tafraoute, Tata We continue south to Sidi Ifni and trek to Amtoudi to enjoy local home cooking. We head north to Tafraoute for two nights and explore the town and rock-strewn surrounding landscape on foot and bicycle. Situated in the shadow of the Jebel Bani Mountains, Tata is an oasis settlement surrounded by a lush palmeraie and our launching pad to the Sahara. Day 9  12. Sahara Desert, Ait Benhaddou, Marrakesh We travel into the Sahara by camel for a memorable night sleeping under the stars. The next day we travel to Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage Site and explore its towering kasbahs. After crossing Moroccos highest mountain pass, Tizi n Tichka, we return to Marrakesh for final souvenir shopping in the souks before our tour ends the following day. Morocco Experience Morocco - 15 days Day 1  4. Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, Fes We have a day in Casablanca then travel to Rabat and stroll through the Old Quarter before moving onward to Meknes. We explore this Moorish city of fascinating fortified gates and palaces before visiting the Roman ruins of Volubillis, en route to Fes. We have a day to explore the narrow alleyways and souks of Fes, a fascinating and overwhelming medieval city. Day 5  9. Midelt, Sahara Desert, Todra Gorge, Ait Benhaddou We visit the farming community in Midelt on the way to our camp in the Sahara Desert, where we set out on camels into the dunes to enjoy a magnificent sun set. Todra Gorge, sometimes described as Moroccos Grand Canyon is explored on foot before we travel westwards to Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village designated World Heritage site that is a fine example of clay architecture. Day 10  15. High Atlas Mountains, Essaouira, Marrakesh We travel to the mountain village of Imlil, affording magnificent views and insight into Berber culture, before heading to the chilled out seaside town of Essaouira. We travel to Marrakesh we check out the many colourful souks and the renowned Djemma el Fna Square before our tour ends on day fifteen. We next head to the desert, stopping at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and explore this stunning fortified village. Day 4  6. Sahara Desert, Taroudannt , Essaouira We travel through the dramatic Draa Valley and then across the shifting sands of the Sahara by camel for a memorable night sleeping under the stars in a desert camp. The next day is spent checking out the red walls of Taroudannt before heading for the cool sea breezes of Essaouira. This city is renowned for its laid back atmosphere, street cafes and friendly markets. Day 7  9. Marrakesh After a morning drive back to Marrakesh there is time to see sights we may have missed earlier in the tour and catch up on any last minute shopping in the souks before our tour ends.
