Tanzania Lodge Safari

Day 1 2. Nairobi, Moshi, Lake Manyara National Park From Nairobi we travel by shuttle bus across the Tanzania border to the town of Moshi lying in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro to overnight. From here its onto the first of three magnificent game parks for some exciting wildlife watching. Lake Manyara National Park is dominated by the scenic Lake Manyara, fringed pink with flamingos and many other species of bird. Additionally we might be lucky to spot lion, leopard and elephant in the surrounding bushveld. Day 3 4. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park We trace the history of mankind at Olduvai Gorge before we encounter the open savannahs of the famous Serengeti National Park, whose plains are amongst the finest game viewing areas in the world. With luck well see buffalo, lion, hippo and cheetah to name but a few. We spend two nights in this wonderful area on game drives in the early mornings and late afternoons. Day 5. Ngorongoro Crater Leaving the Serengeti behind we travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, a world biosphere reserve and the worlds largest intact caldera. We enjoy a game drive in the crater itself and immerse ourselves in the densely populated scores of wildlife found here. Day 6. Arusha, Nairobi We travel to Arusha where we are transferred back to Nairobi to end our safari.

Tanzania & Zanzibar Spices

Day 1 2. Nairobi, Moshi, Lake Manyara National Park From Nairobi we travel across the Tanzanian border to stay overnight in the town of Moshi, lying in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro. From here we head on to Lake Manyara National Park dominated by the scenic Lake Manyara, where we enjoy an afternoons game drive. Day 3 5. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park After a stop at Olduvai Gorge we encounter the open plains of the Serengeti National Park, one of the finest game viewing areas in the world. We have two nights in this rich area on game drives before travelling to the Ngorongoro Crater, world biosphere reserve and the worlds largest intact caldera. We enjoy a game drive in the crater itself and immerse ourselves in the scores of wildlife found here. Day 6 10. Zanzibar, Nungwi Beach, Stone Town On arrival in Zanzibar, we drive to Nungwi on the north coast for three days of beach life. Your pretty bungalows are a stones throw away from an idyllic beach where diving and snorkelling reveal huge arrays of colourful tropical fish flitting around the reefs. We then move on to accommodation in the heart of Stone Town, at the picturesque seafront for a final night. We explore the narrow alleyways of this historic city before a transfer back to the airport the following day.

Timeless Tanzania
TT7 - 7 days
Day 1 2. Nairobi, Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park Take an early shuttle bus from Nairobi to Arusha in Tanzania, arriving in the late afternoon. The next day we are met by our safari guide and vehicle and journey to Lake Manyara via a Masai curio market. Lake Manyara affords us our first game drive experience and with luck we will see a wide array of animals and birdlife that make the lake surrounds home. Day 3 4. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park Travel through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands to the rolling savannah of the world famous Serengeti National Park, stopping at Olduvai Gorge en route. From here explore the Serengeti plains, home to a wide variety of animals and rich in predators, especially lion. Day 5. Ngorongoro Crater Today we game drive out of the Serengeti to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, home to the densest concentrations of animals in Africa, including the Big 5. The crater is a World Heritage Site, and we spend a half day exploring this unique wilderness area. Day 6 7. Tarangire National Park, Arusha, Nairobi From the crater we travel to Tarangire National Park with its wide savannah dotted with acacia and baobab trees and explore the park famous for its large herds of elephant. We stay at Arusha before catching the shuttle bus to Nairobi to end our safari the next day.

Day 1 2. Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park We leave Nairobi to enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for flocks of flamingos which gather here in their thousands to feed on the lakes algae. We overnight in Nakuru or nearby Naivasha. Day 3 4. Masai Mara Game Reserve We arrive at the Masai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch. The park has large wildlife populations which we hope to see on safari during our time here. The following day we make our way to Nairobi where we overnight. Day 5 6. Moshi, Lake Manyara Departing from Nairobi by shuttle bus, we travel to Moshi in Tanzania. The next day we enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Day 7 8. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park We trace the history of mankind at Olduvai Gorge before reaching the open savannahs of the famous Serengeti National Park, whose plains are amongst the finest game viewing areas in the world. We spend two nights in this wonderful area on game drives in the early mornings and late afternoons. Day 9 10. Ngorongoro Crater, Nairobi We travel to the Ngorongoro Crater famous for its immense wildlife population. Game driving within the dramatic crater walls we immerse ourselves in this wildlife paradise. The next day we travel to Arusha where we are transferred back to Nairobi to end our safari.
