Accelerated freefall course Undoubtedly the quickest route to becoming a qualified skydiver. The course is highly intensive, combining jumps with hours of ground school training and tuition from a fully qualified instructor. Day 1: Arrival, transfers and introduction Transfers from Girona Airport to your accommodation. Day 2: Ground school and tandem skydive During ground training you learn about your equipment and make a tandem skydive to demonstrate your ability to fly your body in freefall. BPA A' licence Once you have achieved your AFF licence you are required to make a further ten consolidation jumps before becoming fully qualified. Many people prefer to earn their AFF in Spain and then find a drop zone back home to complete these descents. Others extend their stay and go all the way before returning home. If you opt to complete the course here in Spain the programme for the next three days includes a further ten descents, a hop and pop' (jump from 5,000ft), one month temporary BPA membership, canopy handling tuition and the Canopy Handling 1 examination. Successfully complete that little lot and congratulations, you are now a fully qualified skydiver and there's not many people who can say that. Days 3-7: Solo skydive Now you are ready for Level 1 (AFF), your first solo skydive. This jump is from 12,500 feet with two instructors. On the first three levels, two instructors will accompany you in freefall. The last four jumps only require one instructor. All of your jumps are recorded on video to allow the instructor to give post-jump debriefings. Descents are controlled by radio link to an instructor on the ground in order for you to learn to fly and land your parachute in complete safety. On completion of the course, you receive an achievement certificate, a jump log book and a video of your seven AFF levels. You now have the option of continuing with consolidation jumps to become a fully licensed skydiver allowing you to jump anywhere in the world. Day 8: Depart (or BPA A Licence) Return transfer to Girona Airport or extend your stay for three days to achieve your BPA A' qualification. What's included in the price?
