KIRUNA Kiruna is just 9 miles from the ICEHOTEL® and 1 hour from the Kebnekaise Mountains. Situated 145kms north of the Arctic Circle, this really is a wilderness town. The vast iron ore mine is a dominant feature. However, without this the town would not exist today and we wouldn't have such a great destination!
