will show you how to pack your sled correctly and how to manage your team of six huskies. This is followed by a short practice mush and lunch prior to this afternoon's departure into the wilds of Fell Lapland. DAY 2 TO DAY 10 WILDERNESS HUSKY SAFARI You could be forgiven for feeling a touch of trepidation as you leave the comfort of the Wilderness Centre and head into the vast snow-covered terrain. No matter. You will soon pick up the running rhythm of your team and begin to forge a very special relationship with your trail companions. The long daylight hours mean that you can travel between 30 and 70kms per day spending the nights in wilderness cabins or tents. At this time of year even the nights will be growing lighter making a night time safari a strong possibility. The trail will take you through forests, across frozen lakes and rivers and onto the bare fell region. This is truly dramatic countryside made all the more spectacular by the thick carpet of snow that extends as far as the eye can see. Lunches are cooked on a fire out in the open while breakfasts and dinners are prepared at your overnight stopping place. Each participant must also take care of his or her team of huskies. On the evening of Day 10 you will arrive in Kilpisjarvi where you spend the night in a cabin after a remarkable journey across quite stunning terrain. DAY 11 RETURN TO THE WILDERNESS CENTRE You will return to the Wilderness Centre by car or coach and this evening's dinner with your trail companions will give you ample opportunity to reflect on a memorable safari into the wildest corner of Lapland. DAY 12 DEPARTURE, TRANSFERS AND FLIGHTS After breakfast it is time to come back to reality. You will be transferred to Kittila Airport for your return flights back to the UK. Be prepared for a bit of a culture shock!

Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime. Kilpisjarvi enjoys an almost mythical status amongst the Finns many of whom travel to this most remote corner of their country every year. It is a remarkable place surrounded by some of Scandinavia's most awe-inspiring countryside. We can only operate this holiday in March and April because at any other time over the winter the weather in this most far-flung corner of Finland is simply too harsh. During the long days of Spring however, there can be few places that match the wilderness majesty of the husky trail to Kilpisjarvi, "the last village in Finland". Renowned for its magnificent fell scenery and the vast expanse of Kilpisjarvi Lake, this is very probably the most dramatic landscape in Finland. What's more - you get there by driving your own team of huskies. Is that adventure or what? DAY ONE FLIGHTS, ARRIVAL AND TRANSFERS On arrival at Kittila Airport you will be driven to the Wilderness Centre for a get together with your guide. DAY TWO MEET THE TEAM AND DEPART After breakfast you will be kitted out with your equipment and clothing before meeting your dog team. Your guides
