An extensive network of carefully managed snowmobile trails covers the entire region including lake and river crossings, forests and fells. Each day will provide new and exciting challenges, from negotiating the more technical forest trails to going full throttle across frozen lakes. Accommodation "on the trail" is in simple wilderness cabins but you can relax in some style as they generally have saunas. During the afternoon of day four you arrive back at the Wilderness Centre for a delicious farewell meal.
AGENDA
A sheer adrenaline rush from start to finish. Imagine the exhilaration of venturing into an untamed wilderness on a snowmobile, racing across snow covered lakes and rivers, speeding over the wide open expanses of Fell Lapland and steering your path on the technical trails through snow covered forests. Snowmobiles are a way of life here in the north and with hundreds of kilometres of well-managed trails to follow, this holiday will leave you breathless for more. SUNDAY FLIGHTS, ARRIVAL AND INTRODUCTION You will be transferred to the Wilderness Centre where you will meet your guide for an introductory dinner. Overnight in a comfortable shared safari house. MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY SNOWMOBILE SAFARI You will be provided with all your equipment including thermal overalls, boots, socks, mittens, helmet and expedition grade sleeping bag. Your guides will provide a safety briefing and comprehensive instruction on how to handle and get the most from your snowmobile. The safari covers distances of between 80 and 100kms every day and takes you into some of the wildest areas of Fell Lapland.

THURSDAY DEPARTURE, TRANSFERS AND FLIGHTS After breakfast you will be transferred to Kittila Airport for your return flights home. Alternatively, we can arrange for you to extend your stay in Lapland and try other winter activities such as husky and reindeer safaris, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
