DURATION : 4 NIGHTS DEPARTS : ALTERNATE DAYS PRICE : £589 PER PERSON This exciting four night safari is a must for real safari enthusiasts. Visit the wild and rugged landscape of Tsavo East National Park, the exclusive Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary and the unforgettable Masai Mara.
Day 1: In the morning, you leave your hotel and drive to Sagala Lodge where lunch is taken. You start your first game drive whilst driving through Tsavo East on the way to the picturesque Crocodile Camp which offers a true `Out of Africa' atmosphere. Time to have a cooling drink whilst looking out over the Galana River and then enjoy a relaxing dinner. innumerable species of animals, `the Mara' is one of the most densely populated wildlife regions in Kenya, being home to vast herds of zebra, buffalo, and gazelle, peacefully grazing yet constantly aware of their many watchful predators lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. You might even be lucky enough to witness the drama of a chase. You drive back to the camp in time for dinner. Day 5: Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast and a further game drive gives you time to take those last, memorable photographs. After an early lunch, you are taken to the airstrip for the two hour return flight to Bamburi, arriving at your hotel in time for dinner.

GAME RANGER COURSE
Whilst staying at the KilimanjaroKimana Game Sanctuary, you have the unique opportunity to learn and understand the basic role of a Game Ranger. One Day Introduction Course - £65pp
During the day, you will learn the basic principles of being a Game Ranger with theory and practical lessons. You will also go on a walk with the Game Ranger and learn how to read animal tracks and recognise the local plants and vegetation.
Three Day Course £129pp
In addition to the above, a more in-depth knowledge of a Game Ranger's responsibilities is taught on this course. Learn about the creation and daily preservation of the Game Sanctuary, the qualifications required to become a Game Ranger, the procedures in place to avoid poaching, veterinary support for the animals and how the local Masai people live together with the animals in their natural habitat. This course can be booked only in conjunction with our two night Kilimanjaro-Kimana safari, (see page 29 ) and also incorporates a daily game drive.
Please note: Some of the game drives listed on your actual safari itinerary will not be undertaken whilst participating on the courses to allow time for this exciting and interesting learning experience. This safari can be taken as part of a one week holiday. Itinerary as follows: Day 1: Depart from Gatwick. Day 2: Arrive Mombasa. Overnight at an ASC hotel. Days 3-6: On safari. Day 7: Overnight at an ASC hotel. Day 8: Return to Gatwick. Please telephone for prices.
Day 2: After breakfast, enjoy another game drive through Tsavo East. After lunch you fly to the Kilimanjaro-Kimana Game Sanctuary. On arrival at the Kimana Zebra Lodge, settle into your accommodation before having dinner. Day 3: After a morning game drive in this reserve, which is rich in wildlife, you fly to the Masai Mara and on landing you are taken to the Mara Buffalo Camp for a two night stay. There will be an afternoon's game drive. Before sunset you arrive back at the camp which is set right on the banks of the Mara River. Enjoy dinner in this wonderful setting.

We can arrange breathtaking balloon trips in the Masai Mara, in conjunction with some of our safaris, offering a birds-eye view of the vast plains of Kenya for just £270 per person. This truly remarkable experience commences at dawn. Take off as the sun rises and spend approximately one hour in the air, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. The balloon trip replaces an early morning game drive. Please note that balloon trips do not operate in inclement weather.
