New World Wine Tours in 2009
The programme for our 2009 New World Wine Tours will be ½nalised, with dates and prices by February 2008. If you are interested in pre-registering to receive details of any of these tours as soon as they are available, please call or email. We include ¾ights on the New Zealand trip where we have a good, ¾exible and well priced ¾ights with Air New Zealand, but on the other tours we do not include ¾ights as this would only restrict your choice. Long haul ¾ight prices do increase the nearer to departure date it gets, especially in Club Class, so it is wise to plan early for these trips
Chile, Argentina & Uruguay
February 2009
This superb roving introduction to the wines of South America will be similar to the tour on p. 49.
Chile, North to South
February 2009
This is the ½rst major new look at Chile. New regions are springing up, almost from nowhere, and a raft of amazingly good new producers is set to shake the wine world. We explore the long thin strip of land that is Chile, formed of a series of valleys suitable for grape growing. We take in the most northerly wine regions from the Elqui valley on the edge of the Atacama desert and Limari with its stunning high altitude vineyards. Moving south we visit Aconcacugua valley, and Leyda and San Antonio Valley, which is rapidly taking over from Casablanca as the cool climate area. We then cover Maipo, Cachapoal and Colchagua valleys, before ending in Curico. The tour will start and end in Santiago so it will be easy to ¾y to with a choice of airlines.

Australia
March 2009
We have been wine touring in Australia for the past 16 years. It is a vast country with numerous wine regions to visit, too much for one tour. Perhaps this is why Australia is the New World country that so many A&C clients come back to, or maybe its because the wines, the welcomes and the visits are so good. The 2009 Tour will be in sections, taking in South Australia, Canberra, Victoria and Tasmania.
