The Golden Triangle
Australia's classic three-part itinerary is a mix of the most cosmopolitan and exciting of cities, a taste of the outback topped by its most famous topographical feature and the Great Barrier Reef - the country's three worldwonder icons, in other words, in the one neat trinity of a package. And all seen and done in top-end comfort. It's our single best-selling holiday Down Under and everyone who's booked it has loved it.

There are several contenders for the most des res property in Sydney but we believe that the Park Hyatt has the edge, especially for those who set a high premium on location. It's bang on the Harbour, with the Bridge to port, the distinctive `sails' of the Opera House to starboard. In fact it's so close to the water that you can lie in bed at night and hear the ocean gently sloshing below your window. The views are to die for, both from the rooms and from the restaurant. And within minutes you can be pottering around the streets of the historic Rocks, taking your seat at the Opera or boarding one of the armada of ferries that will lead you across the Harbour to Manly, or under the Bridge to Darling Harbour. Alternatively, if your main aim is to relax and unwind, you might choose to indulge in a massage at the hotel's spa. We've included a half day city tour to help you get your bearings but if you'd also like to spend one of the days exploring beyond the city boundaries, we can arrange either a full day tour to the Blue Mountains (£106) or the vineyards of the Hunter Valley (£106).
Three of the most stylish, luxurious, exceedingly indulgent things to do in Sydney
· Take an `Australia by Air' safari, combining a scenic flight over the Blue Mountains, a visit to Middlebrook, a working sheep and cattle station in the Outback, with a `gourmet' bbq lunch, a second landing in the Hunter Valley, with a cellar door tasting included, and a low level flight along the New South Wales beaches and over Sydney Harbour. And all in a single day. Price from £340 per person, including pick-up from your Sydney hotel. · Take off by classic Beaver seaplane from Australia's first international airport at Rose Bay (the same spot where the old Catalina flying boats used to land after their long-haul, multi-stop hop from Blighty). Twenty minutes later you'll be touching down on the Hawkesbury River, then moments later, be sitting at a terrace table enjoying a three course à la carte lunch at Cottage Point. To top off a magical afternoon we complete a circuit of the postcardperfect harbour, with bird's eye glimpses of the Bridge and Opera House. Price from £196 per person. · For those who prefer a more intimate contact with the Harbour we recommend taking a four-hour cruise by luxury motor yacht which includes lunch with wine or beer as well as seeing all the classic sights. Price from £100 per person.
