Plane Talking v v v v
Don't ever let distance stand in the way of your holiday to New Zealand or the South Pacific. We use only the very best scheduled airlines offering the highest standards of in-flight comfort. Our consultants also know which ones have the most direct services, and which ones you should consider if you want to incorporate a stopover along the way. You can, of course, make your flight a much more relaxing and pleasing experience if you upgrade your ticket to premium, business or first class (some airlines will also let you upgrade on individual sectors of your journey). None of the prices printed in our brochure includes international airfares. This does not reflect a devious ploy to make our holidays appear cheaper than they really are, but it's simply because airfares change so frequently. Our consultants will always secure the very best airfare available at the time of booking. The brochure prices do, however, include all internal flights and give a broad indication of what you can expect to pay both in high season (October to March) and low (April to September). Travel with Bridge & Wickers and your holiday will be fully protected both by our ABTA (W7956) and our ATOL (6611) licences issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
How to use our brochure
Using the colour coding linked to our main holiday themes, you can simply turn to the section of the brochure that most clearly matches your particular interests. You can then decide whether you would like to travel on one of our suggested itineraries, or `pick & mix' whichever places and experiences interest you most.
Our hotels # # # # #
Unlike many companies, we do not accept any payment from hoteliers in return for featuring them in our brochure. We have chosen to work only with hotels we consider to be the best, but not necessarily the most expensive. In some instances `best' is measured by stars, with four and five being our norm. But we don't judge accommodation solely by facilities (24-hour room service, personal butlers, trouser presses and the like). Our selection of accommodation reflects our personal preference for places with character or architectural merit, and for properties where the owners and managers like to engage with their guests. Of course, we put a high premium on location. In our pages you will find lodges, country houses and rural inns that preside over outrageously spectacular landscapes; seaside guest-houses and luxurious Polynesian resorts that are a hop from bed to beach; hip city hotels right in the heart of the action; or quieter, family-friendly holiday homes and apartments, many with full kitchen facilities.
