Discover Turkey at its best as you taste the Orient, haggle your way through some of the best bazaars in the world and wander by ornate and decorative mosques and temples. Encounter ancient Roman ruins, beautiful old towns and the battlefields of Gallipoli on an authentic overview of this fabulous country.
Day 1-4, Istanbul - Gallipoli - Selçuk & Epheseus - Our trip commences in Istanbul, the city where east meets west. Take a cruise on the Bosphorus, view an impressive evening sound and light show and see the beautiful museum, Hagia Sophia. We make our way to Gallipoli with transport to the site and free time to wander this battle ground, and then we visit Selçuk via a short stop in Troy. The following day we visit the ancient Roman ruin site of Epheseus. Day 5-7, Pamukkale - Dalyan - Olympos - We stop at the famous calcified falls and ancient city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale, and then we enjoy a stay in the relaxing town of Dalyan which is known for its hot springs and mud baths. Following on, we travel to Olympos where you can visit the famous Chimaera - a mysterious phenomenon where gas escapes from the earth and spontaneously ignites! Day 8-13, Cappadocia - Ankara - Istanbul - We journey by coach to Cappadocia from a Turkish resort town named Antalya. Looking like a landscape out of `Star Wars', Cappadocia boasts unusual rock sculptured formations, or `fairy chimneys', which once acted as underground cities. Explore by foot, horseback or even hot air balloon before we travel to Turkey's capital, Ankara. We then head back to romantic Istanbul for one more night to enjoy the exotic bazaars and mosques.
