Gain an in depth insight into China on this all-encompassing three week adventure. We take you to major cities for visits to many of China's popular attractions, and there's plenty of time to bask in the rural splendour that flourishes in the quieter corners. It's an exciting, unforgettable journey across the best parts of China.
Day 1-8, Beijing - Xi'an - Nanjing - Beijing is a city where old meets new, historical events welcome change, and a friendly face lurks around every corner. Visit the Great Wall before we travel to Xi'an, the home of many ancient treasures including the Terracotta Warriors commissioned by Qin Shi Huang. Nanjing is a great place to discover and you can visit the Nanjing Massacre Museum, the Sun Yatsen Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace. Day 9-14, Suzhou - Hangzhou - Shanghai - We head to Suzhou, a city renowned for its bridges, pagodas and gardens, and then we travel to Hangzhou which has many beautiful temples to explore and parks to cycle around. We spend three days exploring cosmopolitan China in Shanghai; take a stroll on the Bund and discover the beauty of the Shanghai skyline, or simply lose yourself wandering the streets and shopping districts! Day 15-21, Longsheng - Yangshou - Hong Kong - We enjoy a picturesque stay in Longsheng, famous for its layered rice terraces and stunning views, and then we have time to enjoy some typical Chinese cultural activities in Yangshou such as Tai Chi, Chinese cookery, calligraphy or painting. We finish in one of China's most prosperous cities, Hong Kong.
