Enjoy a diverse journey into the heart of China and absorb the hustle and bustle of modern Beijing, ancient wonders such as the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Warriors, the Yangtze River and the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek is one of China's most popular treks. Challenging yet rewarding, it takes you through the amazing mountain scenery of one of the world's deepest gorges. Fall in love with China's natural beauty on this remarkable adventure.
Day 7-11, Yichang - Yangtze Cruise - Chongqing - Yangshuo After arriving in Yichang, we board our cruise boat and commence our journey along the Yangtze. We take in the incredible sights that have been an inspiration to many of China's historical figures over the years and we also have time to stop for excursions along the way. Disembarking in Chongqing, we take a flight to Guilin and then transfer to Yangshuo. This beautiful town boasts amazing scenery, and you can take classes in Chinese cookery, painting, language and Tai Chi, or hire a bike and explore the serene environment. Day 12-20, Kunming - Dali - Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek Lijiang - We fly to Kunming, the `City of Eternal Spring'. Explore the highland scenery or head into the hills to visit the Bamboo temple. We then travel to Dali, the home of the minority Bai People. See traditional cormorant fishing on Erhai Lake and take a horse trek into the mountains near the town. Following on, we embark on the popular Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek. We will spend the first night at a family guesthouse inside the gorge and the next day we will trek, admiring the stunning views of Jade Dragon Mountain and the Yangtze along the way. We then travel to Lijiang, an old town with a beautiful atmosphere. Wander past old wooden houses clustered in narrow lanes beside the picturesque Black Dragon Lake or simply relax in the peaceful setting before our adventure ends.

Day 1-6, Beijing - Xi'an - Beijing is an exciting modern city with an incredible history. Explore the Forbidden City, indulge in some traditional Peking duck and enjoy an unforgettable walk along the infamous Great Wall of China. We then travel to Xi'an for a glimpse of the famous Terracotta Warriors, created for Emperor Qin Shi Huang as protection in the afterlife, before taking our overnight train to Yichang.

Discover pieces of China, Tibet and Nepal on this diverse journey encompassing bustling major cities, incredible historical sights and inspirational rural scenery. Encounter some of the friendliest local minorities in the mountains, visit incredible traditional sights such the Leshan Giant Buddha, and take a stunning flight over the Himalayas, the highest mountain range on earth.
Day 1-3, Beijing - We begin in Beijing, a city with more than its fair share of tourist attractions! You have the chance to travel back in time with a visit to the Great Wall of China, and you can admire Tiananmen Square, the site of many democracy meetings and demonstrations. Day 4-11, Kunming - Dali - Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek Lijiang - After a flight to Kunming, the `City of Eternal Spring', we will travel to the enchanting and scenic city of Dali, where many ethnic minorities live. Following on, we embark on the Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek, spending the first night at a family guesthouse inside the gorge. The trek takes us past stunning views of Jade Dragon Mountain and the Yangtze River. Next, we travel to the old town of Lijiang. There are many canals, buildings and parks to explore in this peaceful lake setting. Day 12-20, Chengdu - Lhasa - Kathmandu - We fly to Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan Province and the fifth most populous city in China. Have a tea at a traditional teahouse and gain a deeper understanding of Chengdu. After a visit to the Leshan Giant Buddha, a statue of Maitreya (a Bodhisattva usually represented as a very stout monk with a broad smile) we fly to Lhasa in the Tibet region where we'll have time to explore and take in the famous sights of the area. Finally, we take a remarkable flight across the Himalayas to Kathmandu, glimpsing unforgettable views, before our adventure ends.
