Our tour prices are excellent value for money. They arrange the framework for your tour and take care of the hassle of organising things like transport and accommodation, giving you more freedom to get out there and enjoy your holiday.

South America, East & Southern Africa - tours are led by an expert tour leader and qualified driver. You travel on custom built overland expedition vehicles with all the essentials such as massive storage space, plenty of leg room and large windows. Cooking and camping equipment is provided (BYO sleeping bag and mat). Russia, Asia, Middle East & North Africa - tours are led by tour leaders and transport is on anything that moves! You travel on a combination of public and private vehicles: trains, taxis, boats, donkeys, horse-drawn carriages and elephants. What the Local Fund Includes Europe - your tour leader keeps an individual account of how the Local Fund is spent for each passenger and once your tour finishes any left over money will be refunded to you. Food is provided as specified in `the facts' box and the fund also covers some public transport and ferries. You have the option to camp or pay a small supplement and upgrade to a combination of camping and cabins. Prices and details for this are specified on each tour page.
South America, East & Southern Africa - your tour leader keeps an individual account of how the Local Fund is spent for each passenger and once your tour finishes any left over money will be refunded to you. Most meals are included when camping and on travel days, and accommodation is a combination of camping and inexpensive hotels and hostels as specified in `the facts' box on each tour page. Please note: occasionally there may be a short fall in the Local Fund due to exchange rate fluctuations or local price rises. In this unlikely event clients will be required to make an extra contribution. Russia, Asia, Middle East & North Africa - the Local Fund is a portion of your tour cost and there will be no refund at the end of the tour or if you decide to leave early. Food is included as specified in `the facts' box of each tour and accommodation is in inexpensive hotels, hostels, guesthouses and home stays. What's Not Included? International Flights and departure taxes, visas and vaccinations, travel insurance (this is compulsory and a copy of your policy will be collected by your tour leader), sleeping bag for Europe, South America and East & Southern Africa tours, camping mattress for South America and East & Southern Africa tours, tips for local guides, excursions and restaurants, `Tipping Kitty' for Russia, Asia, Middle East & North Africa tours, and tips for your tour leader.
Your Tour Costs: Tour Price & Local Fund The cost of your tour comprises of two payments: Tour Price and Local Fund. The Tour Price is paid before you depart the Local Fund is paid directly to your tour leader on the Day 1 in cash (Euros or US$ depending on your destination). Please note: For all destinations you are required to pay the Local Fund that is printed in the BEX brochure current at the time of your tour's departure. This may change from one brochure to the next on 01 November each year. Please see your tour's page on our website for the current amount if you are unsure about this.
