Spice bazaars partner with exotic markets in Delhi, and Agra is the home of the famous Taj Mahal; a symbol of unyielding love and one of the world's greatest architectural masterpieces. We walk amongst tigers at Ranthambore National Park, and discover the `Pink City' of Jaipur, whose streets represent the ancient Hindu map of the universe. Day 1-4, Delhi - Agra - We begin in India's exciting capital city, Delhi, which is an assemblage of museums, ruins, galleries and markets. Restaurants with fresh foods and coloured spices cater for every culinary desire. We take it all in and then travel to Agra where you can visit the Agra Fort, the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, and India's `jewel' - the Taj Mahal. Agra also has a lively but chaotic chowk (marketplace) where you can test your bargaining skills and pick up local merchandise. Day 5-6, Ranthambore National Park (Sawai Madhopur) We travel to Ranthambore NP to admire the old fortress, pristine lakes and stunning surrounds. We also take a wildlife safari to walk amongst the world's friendliest tigers. In this park you'll see crumbling temples and mosques, the wild jungle, crocodile-filled lakes and over 300 species of birds. Day 7-11, Samode - Jaipur - Delhi - We visit the village of Samode, dominated by its beautiful Palace and Bagh (formal garden). The Palace is decorated with 300-year old wall paintings which still look almost new. Next you can shop for jewellery and textiles at the `Pink City' of Jaipur, and there's time for a visit to the famous Palace of the Winds, built for the ladies of the harem, before we return to Delhi.
