Day 1-4, Bangkok -Vientiane - We begin in Bangkok, the bustling gateway to South East Asia. Wander along Khao San Road amidst the sea of travellers and traffic, and visit the exciting food stalls in Chinatown. We then make our way to tranquil Vientiane, where there's time to marvel at murals and shop at markets. This small Lao city has a collection of beautiful sights and attractions with a slow-paced and relaxed attitude. Day 5-6, Vang Vieng - Our next stop is serene Vang Vieng. Visit some of the temples or caves for an insight into traditional Lao culture, or unwind and absorb the beauty surrounding you. You can go tubing, kayaking and caving, or simply enjoy a few beers by the water. Day 7-8, Luang Prabang - We make for Luang Prabang where you can wander the streets of this beautiful old town and admire the many golden temples. Luang Prabang draws in thousands of tourists due to its quaint charm, minority ladies wearing their colourful costumes, and busy market place where you can brush up on your bargaining skills. There are great photo opportunities here! Day 9-14, Huay Xai - Chiang Mai - Bangkok - Huay Xai is on the cusp of Thailand and Laos and here you can watch the fisherman and world go by. We then arrive in Chiang Mai, the `unofficial capital of the north'. Go on a jungle trek or elephant ride and enjoy the brilliant night scene and markets.
