Enjoy an unforgettable encounter with the rare Mountain Gorilla as we take you through the stunning African landscape to the lush Virunga Mountains. You'll come in close to these amazing creatures in an experience that will leave you mesmerised. With more wildlife than you can point your camera at, this corner of East Africa is truly remarkable.
Day 1-4, Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park - Eldoret - We begin in Nairobi and drive across the Great Rift Valley of Africa to Lake Nakuru NP, a soda lake which is home to pink flamingos as far as the eye can see. An optional game safari offers excellent opportunities to view leopards, lions, zebra, buffalo and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Day 5-8, Kampala - Queen Elizabeth II National Park Discover a taste of modern African life in Uganda's lively cosmopolitan capital, Kampala. We then make our way to the `QE2' NP where you can go on a game drive to spot some of the 95 species of mammal that inhabit the park. Day 9-12, Rhuengeri - Our gorilla trek is the highlight of the trip and takes us deep into the Virunga Mountains to spot the rare Mountain Gorilla. Our guides will track their spoor and last movements to find them and we'll have the chance to sit and watch these amazing creatures; a truly unforgettable experience. Day 13-16, Kigali - Lake Bunyoni - Kampala - A short drive takes us to Rwanda's capital, where the Genocide Museum provides an insight into the shocking genocide of 1994. Following on we travel to Lake Bunyoni, the deepest crater lake in Africa, where you can explore the natural surrounds by bike or canoe. Our adventure ends in Uganda's capital, Kampala, where you can enjoy a night out in some of the city's lively restaurants and bars.

Come face to face with a family of rare Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat and interact with these beautiful creatures like you were one of their own on this amazing overland expedition. Capturing all of the diversity that East Africa is famous for, we take in fresh water lakes, bustling modern African cities and vast national parks home to abundant game.
Day 1-4, Kampala - Mbarara - Queen Elizabeth II National Park We begin in Uganda's busy capital city where there's time to get a feel for the modern African way of life. We drive via Mbarara to the `QE2' NP, Uganda's most popular game park, where you may spot hippos, elephants, leopards, lions and chimpanzees. Day 5-8, Rhuengeri - Our one day gorilla trek takes us deep into the Virunga Mountains to spot the rare Mountain Gorilla. Our guides will track their spoor and last movements to find them and we'll have the chance to sit and watch these amazing creatures. Day 9-13, Kigali - Lake Bunyoni - Kampala - Jinja - After a visit to the attractive Rwandan capital Kigali, we drive to peaceful Lake Bunyoni where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and go biking and canoeing. Then we make our way to Jinja for some adrenaline-filled activities and you can bungee over the Nile if you dare! Day 14-18, Eldoret - Lake Naivasha - Masaii Mara National Park - Nairobi - We enter Kenya and, travelling via Eldoret, we visit the beautiful fresh water Lake Naivasha, which offers fantastic opportunities to view hippos, buffalos and many species of birds. You then have the option to go to the famous Masaii Mara NP before we end our adventure in Nairobi.
