Go on a safari into the untamed, rugged Africa you've always dreamed of exploring. We'll take you through vast plains and landscapes to national parks with incredible game viewing where you can look out for the Big 5 and give your camera a serious workout! Take part in some wild adrenaline sports, like extreme rafting on the Zambezi River, and relax on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar and Lake Malawi. This is Africa at its best.
Day 1-12, Nairobi - Arusha/Ngorogoro Crater/Serengeti National Park - Dar es Salaam & Zanzibar Island - Beginning in Nairobi, Kenya's exciting capital, we travel to Arusha, passing Masaii tribes and villages along the way. From here you can choose to visit the Ngorogoro Crater, the famous collapsed volcano teeming with wildlife, as well as the Serengeti NP, one of Africa's ultimate wildlife parks. We then enjoy several days at Zanzibar, an idyllic island famous for spices and produce. Day 13-28, Iringa - Chitimba (Lake Malawi) - Kande Beach - Lilongwe - Chipata - Lusaka - Sinazongwe - House Boats on Lake Kariba - Livingstone (Victoria Falls) - Travelling into Malawi, we pass wildlife and meet some of Africa's friendliest people before arriving at our camp in Chitimba. Our next stop is fun-filled Kande Beach, where you can relax in the sun or go diving, snorkelling and swimming. We also visit Malawi's capital, Lilongwe, before camping at the edge of Lake Kariba. We take a relaxing houseboat cruise along the lake and then visit Livingstone, the home of the mighty Victoria Falls. If you're after extreme sports, Victoria Falls has it covered with options for white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, river boarding and plenty more! Day 29-42, Chobe National Park - Maun and the Okavango Delta - Ngeipi - Etosha National Park - Otjitotongwe Cheetah Park - Swakopmund - Chobe NP is a BEX staff favourite and is one of the largest game concentrations in Africa. We camp on the river's edge here, and on an optional game drive you may spot crocodiles, hippos and elephants. The serene Okavango Delta is next on our list. It is a huge area of slowflowing water giving life to many animals, birds and amphibians such as speckled frogs. Following on, we visit Etosha NP and camp by floodlit waterholes which means you can watch animals coming down for a drink at the water's edge throughout the night. We then visit the Otjitotongwe Cheetah Park before stopping in Swakopmund, an adventure-sports haven. Day 43-49, Sesriem & Namib-Naukluft National Park - Fish River Canyon - Orange River - Cape Town - Namib-Naukluft is the home of some of the tallest sand dunes in the world, and here we'll chase the sunrise to get the perfect photo of the sun rising over the dunes! Travelling past stunning scenery and wine regions, we arrive in seafront Cape Town where our African adventure finishes.
