The journey to the most southerly town in the world, Ushuaia, is a definite highlight for many travellers. With options for trekking, active volcano climbing, lake cruising, walking and wildlife spotting, you'll not only discover Patagonia but you'll remember it forever. Day 1-7, Santiago - Salto del Laja - Pucon - Bariloche Beginning in Chile's bustling capital, Santiago, we travel south along the coast beneath the mountains to Pucon, where you can climb the active Villarrica volcano. We then travel to quaint Bariloche, the `Switzerland' of South America, famous for its chocolate. Day 8-14, Perito Moreno - Fitzroy National Park - El Calafate Torres Del Paine National Park - Travelling through the Lake District, we take in glaciers and national parks, stopping along the way with plenty of options for trekking and admiring the stunning scenery. Day 15-21, Torres del Paine National Park - Punta Arenas - Río Grande - Ushuaia - After a stay in Torres del Paine we venture to the most southerly town in the world, Ushuaia, where you can visit Tierra del Fuego National Park and cruise the Beagle Channel. Day 22-28, Puerto Madryn - Buenos Aires - Heading north up the Atlantic coast we have the option from Puerto Madryn to visit the Valdes Peninsula, famous for its wildlife, and then it's on to Buenos Aires, the `Paris' of South America! Day 29-35, Buenos Aires - San Ignacio Miní - Iguazu Falls After shopping, steak and tango in Buenos Aires we travel via the Jesuit ruin site, San Ignacio Mini, towards the stunning 275 waterfalls at Iguazu Falls. Feel the spray of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Day 36-42, Iguazu Falls - Bonito - Pantanal - From the waterfalls we have time to snorkel through caves and river systems at Bonito, and then we discover the best place to view wildlife on the continent, the Pantanal. Day 43-49, Campo Grande - Parati - Rio de Janeiro - We have some free camping before discovering the beautiful bay in Parati, and our journey finishes in lovely Rio de Janeiro, one of the liveliest towns in the world! · Meets Rio Carnival, 4 nights not included in Rio.
