Explore authentic South America and discover everything from ancient Inca ruins to cosmopolitan Latino cities. We visit many popular attractions and natural wonders, such as the Lost City of Machu Picchu, the world-renowned Iguazu Falls and the Amazon Jungle, and we also take you to some rural, out-of-the-way places to make your experience as `real' as possible. If you have the time, we have the means to show you the adventure of your life and a journey you'll never forget!
Day 1-14, Quito - Otavalo - Misahualli - Baños - Ingapirca - Cuenca - Punta Sal - We meet in Ecuador's capital, Quito, and travel via the Otavalo markets to Misahualli, where you can take an optional trip into the `lungs of the earth'. Next we stop in Baños for some outdoor activities and explore Ecuador's Inca ruin site, Ingapirca, before a stop in Cuenca and a beach break in northern Peru. Day 15-28, Huanchaco - Huaraz - Lima - Paracas Huacachina - Nazca - Puerto Inca - Arequipa - We spend the next two weeks travelling south through Peru. You have options to explore the colonial capital, Lima, visit the Ballestas Islands from Paracas, go sandboarding at the Huacachina desert oasis, fly over the ancient Nazca Lines, explore the colonial town of Arequipa and visit the Colca Canyon. Day 29-42, Cuzco - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco Sillustani - Puno - La Paz - We admire stunning Inca ruin sites in Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, and you can choose to hike the Inca Trail or take a day train trip to Machu Picchu. Then we spend one more week in Peru, continuing south to the shores of Lake Titicaca, before heading to the capital of Bolivia, La Paz. Day 43-56, Sucre - Potosi - Uyuni - Humahuaca - Salta - Cafayate - We spend a week in Bolivia visiting colonial Sucre, the old Potosi silver mines and the famous Uyuni salt flats where you can take some great photos! As we travel into Argentina we discover the vast northern landscape and foothills before we arrive at beautiful Cafayate, a town famous for its wineries. Day 57-70, Free Camping - Cordoba - Mendoza - Santiago Salto del Laja - Pucon - Bariloche - After some free camping we stop at Cordoba, a lively student town, and have more time for Argentine wine in Mendoza. We then arrive in cosmopolitan Santiago before heading south to Pucon, home to the active Villarrica volcano which you can climb if you're game! We then travel to the Swiss-like Bariloche, famous for its St Bernard's and chocolate. Day 71-84, Perito Moreno - Fitzroy National Park - El Calafate - Torres Del Paine National Park - Punta Arenas - Rio Grande - Ushuaia - As we enter the heart of Patagonia, the scenery is stunning, made up of snow-capped peaks, emerald green lakes, glaciers and green national parks. You can choose to go hiking and climbing in the national parks or just relax and enjoy the serenity. We continue south until we reach the most southerly town in the world, Ushuaia. Day 85-98, Puerto San Juan - Puerto Madryn - Buenos Aires - San Ignacio Mini - Iguazu Falls - As we travel north through Argentina we make our way to Buenos Aires via Puerto Madryn, where you can visit the Peninsula Valdes which is famous for its wildlife.
