84 to 129 days · Quito to Caracas
Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil & Venezuela
Travelling all the way across the continent, through mountains, deserts, marshlands, waterfalls and wetlands, we combine many of South America's highlights on this nonstop adventure. We arrive in Rio de Janeiro, one of the liveliest towns in the world! Then we make our way through northern Brazil for an adventure into the Amazon Jungle before crossing the equator and exploring beautiful Venezuela.
Day 1-28, Quito - Otavalo - Misahualli - Banos - Ingapirca - Cuenca - Punta Sal - Huanchaco - Huaraz - Lima Paracas - Huacachina - Nazca - Puerto Inca - Arequipa We spend our first two weeks visiting markets, Misahualli on the edge of the Amazon, Baños in the mountains and the Ingapirca ruins. We stop in colonial Cuenca before entering Peru, and then it's non-stop action with options to go trekking in Huaraz, visit the Ballestas Islands, fly over the Nazca Lines, discover the `White City', Arequipa and visit the Colca Canyon. Day 29-56, Cuzco - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco - Sillustani - Puno - La Paz - Potosi - Uyuni - Humahuaca - Salta - San Ignacio Mini - Iguazu Falls - We explore stunning ruin sites in Cuzco and around the Sacred Valley. You can choose to hike the Inca Trail or take a day train trip to Machu Picchu. Heading south we make for Lake Titicaca before arriving in Bolivia where we take in the highlights of this beautiful country. Then it's into Argentina for an adventure across the Chaco to Iguazu Falls. Day 57-84, Bonito - Pantanal - Campo Grande - Parati - Rio de Janeiro - Ouro Preto - Porto Seguro - Salvador - Maceio - Olinda - Praia Pipa - After Bonito, a waterworld with great snorkelling, we visit the Pantanal Wetlands, famous for their wildlife. Weaving our way through Brazil we arrive in fabulous Rio for an unforgettable break in this vibrant, beachy city! We then head north to take on the beaches and sunshine of northern Brazil; sailing, snorkelling and seafood are all on offer here. Day 85-113, Canoa Quebrada - Ubajara - Sete Cidades - Belem - Manaus - Amazon Jungle - Boa Vista - Salto de Kama - Ciudad Bolivar - Guacharo Caves - After more blissful beach stops we enter the mighty Amazon Jungle and cruise up the river, sleeping in hammocks with the locals. Venezuela is next on our list and we have time to explore the beautiful waterfalls and national parks. Day 114-129, Mochima National Park - Llanos - Merida - Morrocoy National Park - Caracas - We spend our last two weeks visiting Venezuela's best resort towns and exploring wetlands teeming with wildlife. Our adventure ends in the lively Venezuelan capital, Caracas.
