Followingahikeuptothe`CastleoftheEagles'inGaucintoobservetheunbelievableviews, Ispentaleisurelyeveninginthevillagesquaresharingtapasandbocadilloswithfriends.Innorth eastMallorca,itwasonlytheoutstandingseafoodPaella,burstingwithenormousprawns,which couldgetmeoutofthegloriouswatersofCanyamel!AvisittotheBalearicIslandswouldnotbe completewithoutseekingoutatraditionalbakeryinthemeanderingmedievalstreetstoreturnto yourvillawithalargeawkwardlyshapedboxhousingthedeliciousEnsaimadapastrycake. MyjourneythroughPortugaltookmetothesprawlingexpansesofsandintheAlgarve,anidyll forsun-worshippersandsportsenthusiasts,withawidechoiceofrestaurantstoo.Inland,hilltop Monchiqueboaststhemostdeliciouspiripirichicken,anidealspottodrinkintheviewsaswellas asmallglassoftheAlgarviandigestive,AmêndoaAmarga.OntheCostaAzul,havingvisitedthe verdantArrabidahillsandstrikingcoastline,westoppedforlunchinanunassumingrestaurant, alongsidecolourfullocals,toenjoyChocofrito­goldenfriedcuttlefish­magnificent! Aswellasexploringthevastrangeofrestaurantsforyourself,wecanarrangefortheservices oflocalcooksandprofessionalchefssoyoucandineinthecomfortofyourownvilla.Welook forwardtowelcomingyoutoourtemptingcollectionofhousestoenjoythesestunninglocations andexquisiteflavours,inthisour40thyear.
