Exclusively for non-smokers. Restored with care, much of the interior in original wood. Beamed living room with fitted kitchen, large hearth, shower room, two bedrooms, one with romantic lit-clos (80"x60"). Heating, lots of hot water, washing machine and dishwasher. Spotless and comfortable. 2,500 ft up in the Volcans d'Auvergne National Park, among unspoiled mountains and forests dotted with flower filled pastures awash with soft colour, the sound of streams and cow bells, the High Auvergne is surprisingly little known. There are medieval towns, street markets, restaurants, churches, châteaux, museums, waterfalls, lakes, swimming pools, winter skiing, a summer bob luge; cable cars run to 5,800 ft on the Massif du Sancy (source of River Dordogne). The walking is simply magical; the birds and flowers are exceptional too.

There is a beautiful swimming lake within a 30 minute drive, Cycling, walking and fishing are very popular in the area with many marked routes right on the doorstep. The prolific wildlife makes it a haven for nature lovers, we are just a 40 minute drive away from the skiing resorts of Mont Dore and Super Besse. We are open all year.
