Both gîtes are fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, cooker, microwave, TV, video, CD and woodburning stoves. Le Chêne has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, shower room and separate WC, large sitting room/dining area/kitchen. Le Cerisier has 1 double bedroom, shower/WC, large sitting room/dining area/kitchen. Both have private shady terraces with BBQs. Shared laundry room. Regret no pets or children under 5. Non smokers preferred.

Four Gîtes with fenced Pool
Four gîtes in the peaceful rural setting of En Rouger, our 200 year old farmhouse only a few miles from Castelnaudary, conveniently midway between Toulouse and Carcassonne and their airports. The village of Labastide d'Anjou is a few minutes away, as is the Canal du Midi. Within easy reach are the Mediterranean beaches, the Pyrenees and the Black Mountain, and Lac St Ferreol to the north. The area is ideal for walking and cycling. Golf is available at Carcassonne, and tennis in the village. The four spacious gîtes all have modern furnishings, washing machines, dishwashers, microwaves, DVD players and satellite TV, making them ideal for either families or couples. Our single storey gîte is particularly suited to families with toddlers or people with restricted mobility. The 12m x 7m fenced pool has a shallow entrance, ideal for smaller children.

Domaine de Donamestre sits 500 m from the small village of La Force. It is set in open countryside with stunning views across rolling farmland to the Pyrenees. From here you can explore the famous Cité at Carcassonne, ruined Cathar castles, the Canal du Midi, and the many medieval circular villages. Donamestre is within 1 hour of the Mediterranean at Narbonne, the Pyrenees, and Toulouse city. There is plenty of space to enjoy the sun in the large, south-facing informal gardens. Come and sample the local wines of this beautiful region. Accommodation: Recently restored and comfortably furnished, the cottages are well-equipped. Lastours (1 double bedroom, 1 twin), has a shower room and 2nd WC. Montsegur (1 double bedroom, 2 twin) has both bathroom and shower room. Prices include all costs for electricity (and firewood in cooler months).

Within the grounds there is plenty of room to wander, or enjoy a game of boule on one of our 2 pitches or ping pong in the games room. Our pool is fully tiled with patio area and magnificent views across the valley.

Enjoy a family welcome in Languedoc at a superb gîte beside our farmhouse home overlooking a small reservoir and rolling hills towards the Pyrénées. Borrow our maps and guidebooks and over a glass of wine we'll discuss the Cathars and their stunning castles, Carcassonne and its Cité, the beautiful Canal du Midi, the prehistoric caves, Andorra and the vineyards of Corbiere and Minervois. Perhaps, though, depending on the season, you would prefer the orchids, the poppies, the sunflower fields, the swarms of butterflies, the lizards and tree frogs, the buzzards and kites - even an occasional eagle. Or just follow most visitors in their second week: doze on the terrace or in the garden with a book and a bottle, taking an occasional dip in the pool. No pets please.
