Peaceful and tranquil village set in the heart of the French countryside.
The village is about halfway between Lamastre and Tournon-sur-Rhone/Tain l'Hermitage, Tan L Hermitage area is famous for wine growing and the Valrhona chocolate factory. The area is hilly with villages set in valleys and on the edges of hillsides, running rivers, deep gorges, fruit farming with abundance of peaches, cherries etc. Locally; between Lamastre and Tournon a steam train runs/ goes very slowly through deep ravines and plateaux and near Valance a medieval fort. Great for walking and cycling enthusiasts.

Our house is part of a pretty hamlet perched on the hills at the edge of the Ardeche National Park, and commands breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape. It is situated 10 minutes drive from the popular spa resort of Vals les Bains and the beautiful mediaeval town of Aubenas. The famous Ardeche gorge for swimming/kayacking is approx 45mins drive away. In the valley below the house there is a lovely little river with safe paddling and a plunge pool (with waterfall) for swimming plus swimming pools nearby. The traditional stone house has character and charm, whilst offering every modern convenience. It comfortably sleeps six people (two double bedrooms-one en suite, and one twin bedroom), with a shower room and WC upstairs and a separate toilet downstairs. It has a spacious kitchen/dining area and a large day room.
