We specialise in individual stone cottages for 2, 4 or up to 8 persons especially chosen for peace and tranquillity. Most have dramatic river views and each one has an exclusive or shared swimming pool. Linen is provided for all beds and towels are provided in most cottages. All are furnished to a high standard under our own supervision. Special "Just for 2" prices. The Aveyron Department, the gateway into Southern France, benefits from a Mediterranean climate - without all the crowds. We are situated along a little known stretch of 20 miles of the river Lot, between the lower and upper valleys and includes the Gorge du Lot in what the Rough Guide describes as the "most beautiful section of the River Lot." It is completely unspoilt and uncommercialised and contains some magical villages with wonderful value restaurants. Almost all of our cottages are within walking distance of a good restaurant. It is a walker's paradise! During walks you may well see Eagles, Red and Black Kites, Osprey, Hoopoes, Kingfishers and Nightingales. Within easy driving distance - the more adventurous may wish to visit the spectacular village of Rocamadour, the pre-historic cave paintings at Peche Merle - the underground caves at Padirac - a day out in the remote Auvergne with its lunar landscape appearance - or the awesome grandeur of the Tarn Gorge - Albi Abbey and Toulouse Lautrec Museum. We are surrounded by so many illustrious neighbours. But if you find you just want peace and quiet - our local rivers and lakes provide all manner of water sports including kyaking and canoeing. Eight stone cottages, with private pools in stunning and peaceful locations in and around the dramatic Lot Gorge.
This beautiful river gorge boasts a unique area where you can 'step back in time` and live life at a gentler pace. For the more energetic holiday-makers, the activities on offer include canoeing, kayaking, tennis, horse riding, fishing and golf. The area is perfect for walking and 'off road' cycling with an abundance of footpaths and trails that contour the steeply wooded valleys. A visit to one of the many weekly markets is a must, if only to savour the atmosphere when the locals meet together to discuss the events of the past week. These friendly and welcoming people are one of the areas greatest assets. Restaurants in the area offer a large variety of menus ranging from local specialities to traditional French fare. The cottages have been sensitively modernised to offer you all the comforts of home. They are furnished to a very high standard. Well equipped kitchens with washing machines, dishwashers, fridge freezers and microwaves all help towards a workfree holiday. Cottages accommodate parties of two, four, six and eight. Prices are inclusive of bed linen, electricity and gas and there are no added extras. The pools are all fenced and conform to the required regulations. Ryanair fly daily from Stanstead to Rodez within 1½ hours of the cottages. o Discounts are available for 2 people only for holidays outside the peak season.
