Highlights include St Mark's Square in Venice, Juliet's balcony in Verona, the former Austrian town of Bolzano, the majestic lakes of Garda, Como and Maggiore and the Baroque city of Turin.
influence. Afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 7 To Stresa: Drive to the lakeside town of Stresa. Take a cruise on Lake Como and visit the cathedral and San Giacomo church en route. Continue to Stresa beside Lake Maggiore and stay at the Regina Palace Hotel for 2 nights. (B) Day 8 Stresa: This morning take a tour of Stresa and visit the 16th century Villa Cicogna Mozzoni, set in a classical Renaissance garden. Afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 9 Lake Maggiore: Morning visit to Isola Madre, one of the Borromean Islands. See the Renaissance villa and its `English-style' landscaped gardens. Continue to the most famous of the islands, Isola Bella, with its magnificent Baroque palace and gardens. Afternoon transfer to Turin and stay overnight at the Grand Hotel Sitea. (B)

Day 1 To Venice: Fly from London Gatwick to Venice with British Airways and transfer to the Saturnia & International Hotel for 2 nights. (N) Day 2 Venice: Morning tour of Venice, including St. Mark's Square, the magnificent Doge's Palace, St Mark's Basilica and the Grand Canal. Afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 3 To Lake Garda: This morning visit Vicenza, a pretty town with stunning palaces and villas designed by Palladio. Continue to Verona, one of Italy's loveliest and most romantic cities, forever associated with Romeo and Juliet. Transfer to the Baia Blu Hotel at Lake Garda for 2 nights. (B)

Day 4 Lake Garda: Morning tour of the lakeside town of Sirmione, located on a narrow peninsula jutting out of the southern shore of Lake Garda. Visit the ruins of the Grotte di Catullo, a fascinating Roman villa with impressive views of the surrounding lake. Afternoon cruise on the lake. (B) Day 5 To Trento: Drive north towards the Dolomites range, travelling through stunning mountain scenery. Upon arrival in Trento, transfer to the Buonconsiglio Hotel for 2 nights. (B) Day 6 Bolzano: Morning excursion to Bolzano, the regional capital with a strong Austrian
Day 10 To London: Morning tour of Turin, including Piazza Castello and the cathedral. Afternoon transfer to the airport and fly to London with British Airways.
