Palace of Knossos
Day 1 To Heraklion: Fly from London Gatwick to Heraklion with GB Airways. Transfer to the Astoria Capsis Hotel for 3 nights. (N) Day 2 Knossos & Archanes: Explore the Palace of Knossos which, according to myth, was home to King Minos. Continue to the charming town of Archanes and explore its museum and archaeological remains. (B) Day 3 Amnissos & Krista: Morning visit to the Minoan Palace of Amnissos. Visit Phaistos, one of the greatest Minoan palaces and continue to the charming Minoan Villa of Aghia Triada and Gortys, the Roman capital of Crete. Transfer to Chania and the Kydon Hotel for 4 nights. (B) Day 5 Chania: Morning visit to the Venizelos Tombs and the village of Therissos. Continue to the port of Chania, with its Venetian harbour.
