12 Days / 11 Nights from £1,295 Escorted Group or Private Journey · Medieval Towns & Castles · Beautiful Countryside · 3 Nights in Krakow Old Town This tour combines Poland's beautiful scenery of glacial lakes, farmlands and forests with its well-preserved medieval towns, castles and villages. This tour includes three nights in Kraków's stunning Old Town as well as exploring Gdansk, Warsaw, Wroclaw and the Great Masurian Lake District.
Day 1 To Warsaw: Morning flight from London Heathrow to Warsaw with British Airways. Transfer to Hotel Sofitel Victoria for 2 nights. Afternoon walking tour of the historical Old Town. (N) Day 2 Warsaw: Morning visit to Wilanów Palace and Park. Afternoon at leisure. Evening Chopin concert in Lazienki Royal Park. (B) Day 3 To Mikolajki: Drive north to Mikolajki in the Great Masurian Lake District. Stay at the Hotel Amax for 2 nights. (B, L) Day 4 Great Masurian Lake District: Morning cruise on Lake Sniardwy. Afternoon visit to the `Wolf 's Lair', Hitler's main headquarters during World War II. (B) Day 5 To Gdansk: Morning drive to Gdansk. Afternoon walking tour. Stay at Hanza Hotel / Holiday Inn for 2 nights. (B) Day 6 Gdansk: Full day at leisure in Gdansk or take an optional excursion. (B) Day 7 To Torun: This morning visit Malbork castle. Continue to Torun and stay overnight at Hotel Heban. (B)

Continue to Kraków and stay at the Senacki Hotel / Holiday Inn for 3 nights. (B, L) Day 10 Kraków: Morning tour of Kraków's old town. Afternoon at leisure or optional tour to the 700 year old salt mine at Wieliczka +. (B) Day 11 Kraków: Full day at leisure or optional excursion to the former Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz. (B) Day 12 To London: Morning departure for Warsaw by train. After a farewell lunch, transfer to the airport and fly to London Heathrow with British Airways. (B, L) + A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wieliczka salt mine is a maze of 300km of underground galleries, chambers and buildings, including the Chapel of the Blessed Kings, complete with an altarpiece and chandeliers all carved from salt. Please note that this tour may not be suitable for the elderly, less mobile or those prone to claustrophobia, as there are 378 steps down to the mine, and the return to ground level is by a small miners' lift. Private Journeys: In addition to the Escorted Groups, this itinerary may be taken at any time as a Private Journey, subject to availability. Day 9 Wroclaw: Morning tour of Wroclaw. Afternoon drive to Czestochowa, where the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna is found.
