7 Days / 6 Nights from £2,325 Non-Exclusive Group Tour · Relaxed Pace · Rural Villages · Wine Tasting Cruising along the Lower Nivernais Canal and River Yonne, La Belle Époque is a state-of-the-art hotel barge, designed with both elegance and passenger comfort in mind. The top deck offers a sun area, complete with a spa-pool, while the interior comprises an air-conditioned, wood panelled saloon and dining room complete with luxury furnishings and amenities. The six cabins sleep up to 12 guests and offer a choice of twin or double beds with marble en suite facilities.
Day 1 To Auxerre: Morning flight from London Heathrow to Paris with British Airways. Transfer to Auxerre and the waiting La Belle Époque. Following a champagne reception, the remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before dinner aboard. (D) Day 2 To Les Caves de Bailly: Pass vineyard-clad hillsides this morning en route to Les Caves de Bailly. Continue to St Bris, a village built over an extraordinary network of underground passages. Enjoy an afternoon wine tasting before dinner aboard. (B, L, D) Day 3 To Accolay: This morning, visit the medieval town of Accolay before a leisurely afternoon cruise to Accolay, travelling through rich pastoral countryside. Enjoy dinner ashore in a local auberge. (B, L, D) Day 4 To Mailly la Ville: This morning you will be driven through the beautiful countryside to the charming fortified village of Noyers-surSerein, with its 15th and 16th century stone and timbered houses. This afternoon, cruise south along the River Yonne to the market town of Mailly la Ville. (B, L, D) Day 5 To Lucy sur Yonne: Pass the Saussois cliffs and continue to Lucy sur Yonne, visiting the fortified 12th century Chateau de Bazoches en route. (B, L, D) Day 6 To Clamecy: Take a tour of Vézelay this morning and visit the Basilica of Mary Magdalene. Continue with an afternoon cruise through the countryside to Clamecy and enjoy a Captain's Dinner in the evening. (B, L, D) Day 7 To Paris: Morning transfer to Paris and
