Barging in Venice & The Veneto 7 Days / 6 Nights from £1,795 Non-Exclusive Group Tour · Relaxed Pace · St Mark's Square · Islands Of The Veneto Follow a unique journey from the romantic lagoons of Venice to the stately manor houses along the Brenta River. With a maximum capacity of just six guests, La Dolce Vita offers personal service and a typical Venetian décor. Fully air-conditioned and heated, with a spacious sun deck, the barge offers year round cruising in the temperate climate of the Adriatic coast. Day 1 To Venice: Morning flight from London Gatwick to Venice with British Airways. Transfer to La Dolce Vita and cruise to the Fort of Sant' Andrea, an ancient Venetian artillery base. Enjoy a welcome dinner aboard. (D) Day 3 To Murano: Cruise to San Francesco del Deserto island this morning and on to San Lazzaro degli Armeni, home to one of Venice's most interesting libraries, with manuscripts dating back to the 7th century. Continue to the island of Murano, best known for its glass and crystal making. (B, L, D) Day 4 To San Giorgio: This morning, visit a glassblowing workshop in Murano before taking a tour of the Grand Canal aboard a water taxi. This afternoon take a tour of St Mark's Square, with visits to the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Cathedral. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B, L, D) Day 5 To Dolo: Leaving San Giorgio this morning, the barge will cruise up the River Brenta to Villa Widnamm, a typical Venetian villa with wonderful frescos. Afternoon cruise to Dolo. (B, L, D) La Dolce Vita Day 6 Padua: Travel further up the River Brenta this morning to Stra, visiting the Villa Pisani. Continue to Padua for a tour of the Gothic city, including a visit to the Cappella Degli Scrovegni, a chapel famous for its Giotto frescoes. Evening farewell dinner in Padua. (B, L, D) Day 7 To London: This morning you will be transferred back to Venice. Continue to the airport and return to London Gatwick with British Airways. Visits include the beautiful Veneto-Byzantine cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Continue to cruise along the Siloncello canal to Burano, and visit the Lace Museum. (B, L, D)
