Tour + Hong Kong
Available with The Grand Tour and Timeless China tours. The Hong Kong extension for the China Experience is not the itinerary below. Hong Kong is celebrated for its culture, cuisine, shopping and magnificent skyline, but it also holds many surprises with spectacular rural scenery, the bays of Sai Kung and many quiet outlying islands. Day 1* To Hong Kong: Fly to Hong Kong. Transfer to the Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula or Intercontinental** for 3 nights. (B) **Harbour view room upgrade £130 per person for 3 nights. Should you wish to stay in another hotel, or upgrade the room category, please ask for a price.

Day 2 Hong Kong: Morning tour of Hong Kong Island. (N) Day 3 Hong Kong: Day at leisure to explore the city, countryside or islands, or go shopping. (N) Day 4 Hong Kong: Day at leisure. The Hong Kong extension for the China Experience tour is based at the Langham Place or Harbour Plaza for 2 nights, with private transfers and no excursions. Tour + Guilin
Available with China Experience and Timeless China. Guilin in southern China is renowned for its dramatic scenery of limestone pinnacles. Combined with the meandering Li River and the area's villages and rice fields, it offers scenery that is a popular impression of rural China. Day 1* To Guilin: Fly to Guilin and transfer to the Sheraton Hotel for 2 nights. Afternoon tour to Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill. (B) Day 2 Longsheng: Full day tour to Longsheng, where cultivated terraces reach high up the mountains. (B, L) Day 3 Li River: Take a cruise on the Li River, past limestone karst cliffs towards the town of Yangshou. Take a walk around town before returning to Guilin. Evening flight to Hong Kong and connect to an overnight flight to London. Alternatively, extend your trip with a stay in Hong Kong. (B) Day 4 London: Early morning arrival. Guilin
Tour + Yangtze
Available with China Experience and Timeless China. Extend your stay in China with a Yangtze cruise. Tour the colossal dam project, meander through steep gorges on the upper tributaries where rural Chinese communities lead traditional lifestyles, and see towns in the process of resettlement before the final stage of flooding in 2009. Afternoon pass through the Wu and Qutang Gorges. (B, L, D) Day 4 Yangtze: Shore excursion to either Shibaozhai Temple or Wanzhou.
