Discovery Tour: Whilst a journey through the regions of the Silk Road is an unforgettable experience, standards of accommodation outside the main cities should be regarded as simple. However, all accommodation is the best available, and has private facilities. The tour involves some long journeys over rough terrain. (The train journey on Day 8 is in a soft sleeper shared compartment).

The accommodation at Naryn and Karakol is basic. This tour is escorted by separate tour managers in China and Kyrgyzstan.
