The journey begins in Laos, still relatively untouched by Western influence, and takes in ancient Mekong temples and the French colonial legacy. Continue to Vietnam, rapidly developing and highly energised, taking in the highlights between Hanoi and Saigon. The finale is a journey through the Mekong Delta into the captivating Kingdom of Cambodia, finishing at the majestic Angkor Wat.
Afternoon at leisure. (B, L) Day 6 To Hanoi: Afternoon flight to Hanoi and transfer to the Sofitel Metropole for 2 nights. Evening dinner at Indochine restaurant. (B, D) Day 7 Halong Bay: Drive to Halong Bay and board a junk boat for a cruise around the limestone mountain islands. Return to Hanoi this afternoon. (B, L) Day 8 To Hué: Morning tour of Hanoi, including Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum and residence. Fly to Hué and overnight at La Residence Hotel. Afternoon visit to the Royal Tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Dinner in a restored royal home from the Nguyen Dynasty. (B, D) Day 1 To Laos: Fly from London to Vientiane, via Bangkok, with Thai Airways. (N) Day 2 Vientiane: Arrive and transfer to the Settha Palace for 2 nights. Evening welcome drinks. (N) Day 3 Vientiane: Take a tour of Vientiane. (B, L) Day 4 To Luang Prabang: This morning fly to Luang Prabang, regarded by many as the most beautiful town in Asia. Transfer to the Maison Souvannaphoum for 2 nights. Afternoon tour of the ancient temple district and the National Museum. (B) Day 5 Luang Prabang: Morning boat trip to the Pak Ou Caves where, over the centuries, thousands of images of Buddha have accumulated as offerings.

Day 13 Mekong Delta: Morning drive to the Mekong Delta and take a boat to Cai Be floating market and An Binh islet. Continue to Vinh Long and drive to Can Tho. Overnight at Victoria Hotel Can Tho. (B, L, D) Day 14 Mekong Delta: Early morning boat trip to Cai Rang, Indo-China's largest floating market. This afternoon visit a floating fisheries market. Drive to Chau Doc and overnight at Victoria Hotel Chau Doc. (B, L, D) Day 15 To Phnom Penh: This morning, board a speedboat from the hotel's pier for the border crossing into Cambodia. Arrive in central Phnom Penh and transfer to the Raffles Hotel Le Royal for 1 night. Afternoon visit to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Phnom. (B) Day 16 To Siem Reap: Transfer to the airport and fly to Siem Reap. Transfer to La Residence D'Angkor for 2 nights. Afternoon tour of Banteay Srei, Preah Khan and Neak Poan. (B, D) Day 17 Angkor Wat: Full day tour of the Temples of Angkor, including the south gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm and the magnificent Angkor Wat at sunset. (B) Day 18 To London: Transfer to the airport and fly to London, via Bangkok. Evening arrival. Alternatively depart this afternoon on the overnight flight, arriving the following morning. Day 9 To Hoi An: Morning cruise on Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, the Citadel and Forbidden Purple City. Afternoon drive over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, one of Asia's most beguiling towns. Stay 2 nights at The Life Resort. (B, L, D) Day 10 Hoi An: Morning visit to the former trading port of Hoi An, with its historic Chinese, Japanese and European influences. Afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 11 To Saigon: Morning drive to Danang and visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountains. Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and transfer to the Caravelle Hotel for 2 nights. (B) Day 12 Saigon: Morning tour to Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office, Reunification Square and War Remnants Museum. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
