Raffles, Singapore
Dating from 1887, Raffles is one of the world's great hotels and a real focal point of Singapore society. The landmark Fullerton building, located on the Singapore River, was completed in 1928. It served as general Post Office, Singapore Town Club and the Chamber of Commerce before being developed into a luxury hotel. The Oriental, Singapore
Following a major renovation, The Oriental is now one of Singapore's best value luxury hotels. Other facilities include two restaurants, a tearoom serving traditional afternoon teas, a bar with snooker table, an 18-hole golf course and a Spa Village.
The Eastern & Oriental Hotel is a historical gem and the benchmark for grand colonial hotels from the early 20th century. Once touted as the finest hotel east of Suez, it has recently been restored to its former glory as an all-suite hotel with delightful lawns on the Georgetown waterfront. Other features include a magnificent pool with views over the seafront, a fine dining restaurant, coffee shop and British bar.
