From the bustling city of Ahmedabad, this journey travels through India's rural heartlands, revealing spectacular Jain and Hindu temples. Staying off the beaten track, visitors have the opportunity to meet with local farmers and villagers who still follow age-old traditions. Day 1 To Ahmedabad: Fly overnight from London to Ahmedabad with Jet Airways. (N) Day 2 Ahmedabad: Morning arrival and transfer to M.G. House for 2 nights. (B) Day 3 Ahmedabad: Morning tour of Ahmedabad, including the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon at leisure, or visit the textile market. (B) Day 4 Ahmedabad: Drive to Mount Abu, via the Rani ki Vav stepwell and weaving centre in Patan, and the Sun Temple in Modhera. Stay 2 nights at Cama Rajputana. (B) Day 5 Mount Abu: Full day tour, including the Jain Temples at Dilwara, the temple complex at Achalgarh, and the museum and art gallery in Mt. Abu. (B) Day 6 To Deogarh: Morning at leisure. Afternoon the bustling village. (B) Day 8 To Rohet: Drive to Rohet and stay 2 nights at Rohetgarh. (B) Day 9 Rohet: Full day tour of Mandore and Jaswant Thada.
