Note: This tour is fully escorted from Lima to Lima, except for one night at Machu Picchu due to lack of accommodation for guides. The itinerary is designed to optimise your time in Peru, and take in the major sights whilst allowing you time to adjust to the altitude. There are some early morning starts and long drives. + Luxury Departure Dates: On these selected dates, four hotels will be upgraded to Peru's finest
properties: the Orient Express-owned Miraflores Park in Lima (ocean view room), the Monasterio in Cuzco (de luxe room), the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge and the new Casa Andina Private Collection in the heart of Arequipa. These tours also include a special dinner at the Casa Aliaga in Lima and a lunch at Hacienda Orihueza in the Sacred Valley. Please see page 15 for prices and departure dates, and contact your Tour Consultant for a detailed itinerary.
Festival: The 13 June departure coincides with the Inti Raymi Festival, the `Festival of the Sun'. This festival is held in Sacsayhuamán, just outside Cuzco, where Indians dress in colourful costumes and perform ancient Inca rites to the sun. This 18 day / 16 night departure includes an extra night in Cuzco. For private journeys over Inti Raymi in Cuzco, there is an £185 per person supplement.
