A hugely experienced captain, expedition leader and an expert team of naturalist guides will help you discover the region,on land and by zodiac excursions, and will offer fascinating onboard lectures. Cabins are spacious and outside facing. Excellent fresh food is served with the best Chilean and Argentinian wines.
Day 1 To Buenos Aires: Fly to Buenos Aires, via Madrid, with Aerolinas Argentinas. (N) Day 2 Buenos Aires: Morning arrival. Transfer to the Emperador Hotel for 1 night. (N) Day 3 To Ushuaia: Fly to Ushuaia, the most southerly city in the world. Transfer to the Hotel Albatross for 1 night. (B) Day 4 Tierra del Fuego: Morning at leisure. Afternoon embarkation of the M/V Antarctic Dream. Evening departure through the scenic Beagle Channel. (B, D) Days 5-6 Drake Passage: Navigation of the Southern Ocean. You may see albatross, petrel and other seabirds. (B, L, D) Day 7 King George Island: Visit the largest of the South Shetland Islands. Afternoon visit to Aitcho Island and cross the Bransfield and Gerlache Straits. (B, L, D) Day 8 Antarctic Peninsula: Arrive in Antarctica and land on Neko Bay, and later at Port Lockroy, a British base that also serves as a fascinating museum. Abundant wildlife includes Weddel, crabeater and leopard seal, mink and humpback whale, and seabirds such as blue-eyed shag and Antarctic tern. (B, L, D) Day 9 Petermann Island: Sail through the sheer cliffs of the stunning Lemaire Channel to Petermann Island, the ship's most southerly land point. See gentoo and adelie penguins and take zodiacs to see

the ice formations. (B, L, D) Day 10 Paradise Bay & Culverville Island: Turn north and, weather permitting, take zodiacs through the ice of Paradise Bay. Evening visit to the rocky Cuverville Island on the Errera Channel with its colony of gentoo penguins. (B, L, D) Day 11 Deception Island, Pendulum Cove & Livingstone Island: Deception Island is the largest active volcano in this part of Antarctica. Disembark at Whalers Bay for the odd experience of swimming in this mild water. Livingstone Island is a habitat for chinstrap and gentoo penguins and
sometimes sea elephants. (B, L, D) Days 12-13 Drake Passage: Head north towards Cape Horn. In clear conditions, you may see the southernmost tip of South America. (B, L, D) Day 14 To Buenos Aires: Morning arrival in Ushuaia. Disembark and fly to Buenos Aires. Stay overnight at Emperador Hotel. (B) Day 15 To London: Fly to London, via Madrid, with Aerolinas Argentinas. (B) Day 16 London: Afternoon arrival. (N) Please note: Itinerary is subject to change due to climatic conditions.
