taking in the famous sights of Upper Egypt including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak and the Aswan High Dam.
Day 1 To Cairo: Fly with British Airways from London to Cairo. Transfer to Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel for 2 nights. (N) Day 2 Cairo: Morning tour to Giza to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Afternoon visit to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun's tomb. (B) Day 3 To Luxor: Early morning flight to Luxor and transfer to the M/S Mirage I (see page 21) for a 4 night cruise. Morning visit to the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon visit to the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight Luxor. (B, L, D)

Day 4 To Edfu: Sail to Esna and pass through the Lock. Sail to Edfu and stay overnight. (B, L, D) Day 5 To Aswan: Morning visit to the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Afternoon cruise to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Late evening sail to Aswan and stay overnight. (B, L, D) Day 6 Aswan: This morning, visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. This afternoon, take a felucca trip on the Nile. Overnight Aswan. (B, L, D)
Day 7 To Cairo: Disembark this morning and fly to Cairo. Stay overnight at the Le Meridien, Heliopolis. (B) Day 8 To London: Morning transfer to the airport.
