This tour includes the famous Imperial Cities of Meknes, Fez and Marrakesh, as well as taking in the High Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, and the kasbahs and palm-filled valleys of the Great Southern Oases.

(B) Day 6 To Ouarzazate: Drive to Ouarzazate, passing through the palm plantations of Tinerhir and the stark cliffs of the Todra Gorge. Overnight at Berbere Palace Hotel. (B) Day 7 To Marrakesh: Drive through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh. Stop en route at Ait Benhaddou, one of the most impressive kasbahs of the region. Continue to Marrakesh and stay for 3 nights at Les Borjs de la Kasbah. (B) Day 8 Marrakesh: Morning tour of Marrakesh, visiting the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque. Afternoon tour of the souqs, finishing at the Djemaa El Fna square. (B) Day 9 Marrakesh: At leisure. Optional excursions to the delightful gardens of Marrakesh. Extensions Tour + Atlas Mountains
12 Days / 11 Nights from £1,550 Extend your tour with a stay in the Atlas Mountains, where it is possible to explore Berber villages or simply relax and enjoy breathtaking mountain views. Day 10 To Atlas Mountains: Transfer to the High Atlas. Stay for 2 nights at the La Roseraie. (B) Day 11 Atlas Mountains: At leisure. (B) Day 12 To London: Morning transfer to Marrakesh. Day 1 To Fez: Fly from London to Fez with Royal Air Maroc. Stay 3 nights at Riad Mabrouka. (N) Day 2 Fez: Morning tour of Fez, the first Islamic city in Morocco. Visits include the courtyard of Kairaouine Mosque, Bou Inania Medersa, Nejjarine Fountain, the Jewish quarter (mellah) and the souqs. Afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 3 Meknes & Volubilis: Drive to Meknes, one of the quieter Imperial Cities and once the heart of the Moroccan Sultanate. Nearby are the ruins of Volubilis, which marked the westward extent of Roman expansion. The wealth of former inhabitants can be seen in the array of wonderful mosaics left behind. (B) Day 4 To Erfoud: Take a long and interesting drive south, climbing into the Atlas Mountains before descending into desert dotted with palm groves and kasbahs. Stay for 2 nights at Kasbah Xaluca.
