ACHILLEAS ***
The Achilleas is a small, family property located in central Athens, close to Syntagma Square and within walking distance of Plaka. Renovated in 2001 with a cool, classic design the very spacious rooms (ideal for families) are prettily furnished and of a good standard and quality. The 34 rooms have shower or bathroom, TV, phone, fridge, safe, air-conditioning , hairdryer and some of the rooms have balconies. A lounge where there is WiFi internet connection, breakfast room, small central patio and lift complete the facilities. Official rating 3 star.

HOTEL PHILIPPOS ***
This attractive, family-owned hotel is ideally located in the heart of the old city. The Metro Station Acropolis is a few steps away as is the tramway station, only one stop from the main shopping and business areas. Conveniently located at the foor of the entrance to the Acropolis, below the Herodion theatre and the Plaka, the old quarter, with its old-style charm and affordable shopping and dining. Joining the main bar and lounge there is a pretty coffee shop/bar area, where breakfast, drinks and light meals are served. All 50 rooms are decorated in a classic style with modern furniture, airconditioning, TV, telephone, minibar, safe and hairdryer. A good choice in this ancient capital. Official rating 3 star.
