Lake District Weekends
Some of the very best natural mountain biking in Britain can be found in The Lake District, Englands largest National Park. With so much rock, slate, stone and hardpack to ride on youll be able to enjoy great days out, whatever the weather. These two-day courses (staying in our perfectly located guesthouse) are run at three levels, taking you from relative newcomer to expert mountain biker. They all require moderate to good tness as we spend each day out in the mountains, learning in sessions as part of an overall ride on superb trails.
f Core Skills (level 1)
Get your balance, vision, pedalling, braking, body positioning and other core skills right then y down a whole range of Lake District trails. Through careful observation and small group practice this course gets you riding all over the mountains, even if you started out as a complete novice.
f Mountain Rider (level 3)
A highly exible course that gets everyone testing their limits in a wide variety of trail situations. Building coaching sessions into big rides out well cover everything from fast cornering to super-steep climbing and severe, steep and rocky descents. Be prepared to push yourself, then enjoy the rewards. Two-day courses Max. 8 people £190 per person
f Trials to Trails (level 2)
To progress as a rider you need to be able to move your body and your bike around in a whole range of situations. Riding drop-offs, step-ups, hopping or manualing over rocks and roots all this is covered as we give you the skills to tackle the rocks, drops and challenges that held you back before.
f Private Tuition (any level)
Private coaching can have a huge impact on your biking in a very short space of time. Throughout the year we offer this service to individuals and small groups (max 4). Call for details.
