Tour Grades Selecting a trip to suit your abilities and desired level of challenge (or leisure) can be difcult. At CycleActive weve developed a grading system that makes it really clear which tours are for you. It works like this: f Skill level A to D. This tells you how skilled you need to be on a mountain bike for that tour. Grade A holidays take you on dirt roads, gravel tracks or easy trails which anyone can ride and enjoy. Grades B, C and D get progressively harder, with Grade D tours covering very demanding mountain bike terrain with plenty of rocks, drops and steep, singletrack descents. f Fitness level 1 to 4. For holidays that require level 1 tness you need to be in reasonable shape, t enough to spend a day riding at a steady pace, with breaks, over gently rolling terrain. The demands get greater as the number increases, with level 4 rides including tough climbs, big days out and some real physical challenges. By separating grades into skill and tness we can help you nd a holiday that closely matches your needs. Our Reputation in Cycling We believe that our holidays are the best planned and best run that youll nd anywhere. After 11 years of tour operating, and with the backing of the most highly qualied cycle guides in the UK, youd expect us to make this claim! But please dont just take our word for it here are quotes from some of the journalists and cycle industry experts weve hosted over the years: As good as anything weve ridden in Spain before.
