We have several departure dates available, which include a 1- or 2-night hotel stay (the number of nights will depend on your departure date). You will have plenty of time to see Esbjerg and the surrounding area. On the waterfront you cant miss Mennesket ved Havet (Man Meets the Sea) a colossal sculpture of four white 9-metre high, concrete human figures, staring out to sea. The picture-perfect island of Fanø is a 12-minute ferry ride away. Its beach is one of the best and safest bathing beaches in Northern Europe. Throughout the citys galleries you can see artists at work and you may even be tempted to buy a souvenir from one of the many gifted craftsmen. Esbjerg has an extensive retail offering and youll find small, specialised shops as well as large shopping centres. Esbjerg is surrounded by magnificent countryside. Just a short distance from the city centre is one of the countrys largest nature areas the Marbæk Plantation with woods, lakes, cliffs and beaches, as well as a rich fauna and bird life.
