SCENIC AND CITY CRUISE BREAKS
In 2006 DFDS Seaways were proud to launch a new Norwegian route from Newcastle to Stavanger, Haugesund and the gateway to the fjords, Bergen. With these three great new destinations comes a whole host of great short cruise break options.
CITY CRUISE BREAKS
The charming city of Stavanger has been awarded European Capital of Culture 2008 so there really is no better time to visit and explore all the great sights the capital of South Western Norway has to offer. From the delightful waterfront and the popular old town to the famous Pulpit Rock less than an hour away. The city of Bergen is best known as the gateway to the fjords but also has so much to offer in its own right. The historic area of Bryggen attracts numerous visitors with its lovely old, colourful buildings lining the waters edge with a selection of quaint shops and eateries. The funicular is close by and is a great way to enjoy wonderful views of the city and the fjords in the distance. During the months of July and August our schedule offers a great 3 night city break to Bergen from only £69 per person.
